Another feature of the collection is the improved molten metal repulsion due to the innovative construction of the clothing. Comparable with the shingle concept, the piping, seams and top-stitching, including the reflective stripes, are finished so that they point downwards. Liquids of any kind can quickly run down the smooth surface. The familiar high level of comfort for the wearer is retained. Due to the linear construction, with an incorporated membrane, the material is comfortably soft, wind- and water-resistant, breathable, and durable.

The "MP 7.1" line meets all standards with regards to protection against heat and flames (DIN EN ISO 11612), protection when welding and other associated processes (DIN EN ISO 11611), protection against the thermal dangers of an electric arc (DIN EN 61482-1-2, 7kA/0,5s), protection against rain (DIN EN 343), liquid chemicals (DIN EN 13034), and electrostatic properties (DIN EN 1149-1-3-5). The high visibility requirements defined in the new DIN EN 20471 are clearly exceeded with the "VisiblePlus" equipment.

In its new line, Tempex is using a mixed fabric made of polyester, aramide, Modacryl and anti-static fibers, with a grammage of approx. 320 grams per square meter. The standard colors for the line are signal yellow and signal orange. The sizes available range from 42/44 to 70/72.
